Land Rover

The Land Rover Company has been manufacturing all terrain and off road 4x4 vehicles for many years. The company is based in England, however Land Rover vehicles are popular all over the world and in many cases they carry a certain level of prestige and are often considered to be status symbols as a result.

The company was established in the late 1940’s when the first Land Rover was produced. Since then the vehicles have gained a significant level of popularity due to their robust nature and extreme versatility, which makes these vehicles highly suitable for a number of different applications. The British army, and indeed a number of other military organisations all over the world, have made use of Land Rover vehicles for a number of years as their ruggedness and ability to handle very difficult terrain makes them ideal for use in a combat situation. The Land Rover Defender is one of the vehicles produced by the company that is most suited to these sorts of applications.

Land Rover also produces a variety of other vehicles, some of which have much more commercial potential than Defender, such as the Discovery. These Land Rovers are often marketed as family vehicles, although their high price tags make them fairly unaffordable to most people. A high end Land Rover is often considered to be a luxury vehicle, although people who own them often face criticism because of the high level of emission these vehicles produce.
